Roosevelt has been working with children most of his life. He was a Peer Counselor during Junior High School. In high school, he was Associate Student Body Vice President and achieved the honor of Eagle Scout from Troop 254, Boys of America Golden Acorn District. He also held such positions as choir president, and assistant conductor. During college he was very active as a Resident Assistant for student living, member of the student affairs association, and assistant conducting various organizations on campus. In graduate school Roosevelt continued his education in music focusing his thesis on the "Changing Male Voice from Adolescent to Man."

Now Mr. Credit conducts various ensembles focusing on good vocal production and stage presence. He enjoys working with students at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels. He has also worked with church choirs, community ensembles, and festival choruses.

Roosevelt loves various styles of music. "The traditional classical repertoire and spiritual are fun," he says, "but I also enjoy learning new styles."

During his teaching of music he use the Solfege system and interval recognition. He likes to make music learning fun while teaching different styles, and focusing on strong vocal technique. He has been an inspriation to many and is a joy to work with.
